Dariush Mozaffarian (5 minutes)
Cardiology Grand Rounds presented by the Minneapolis Heart Institute Foundation® - 29 October, 2019

Dr. Mozaffarian addresses the fact that we face a national nutrition crisis. The food we eat is the leading cause of poor health, and preventable healthcare spending in the United States, and a major driver of health disparities. It’s time for a coordinated strategy to reshape the way we incentivise, support, and drive innovation in our food system to leverage the full power of nutrition to improve health, advance equity, and reduce healthcare spending. Dariush Mozaffarian is a cardiologist, Dean, and Jean Mayer Professor at the Tufts Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy, and Professor of Medicine at Tufts School of Medicine

"Food for thought: The science and politics of nutrition" (2018), and "Food for thought: The science and politics of nutrition" (2020) gathered all the best brains available. You make up your own mind, but in my mind, Dariush Mozaffarian stands head and shoulders above others, if you want a mainstream view of nutrition.
