Every woman knows
British Journal of Nutrition, 1963
Every woman knows that carbohydrates are fattening.
This is common knowledge which few nutritionists would dispute.
(Why did we forget that?)
The new science is telling us that our grand parents (Pre WWII) actually ate a diet that was more healthy.
My memory of that time was that family roast meals were common; at least once a week.
My father used to encourage me to eat the fat, and I can remember resisting that.
