The video above is probably the best short summary of the up to date nutritional science available. Amongst academics, Dariush Mozaffarian, was perhaps the most respected voice on nutrition. He speaks for the mainstream.

There are a few things that Open Future Health thinks are still wrong, in this mainstream view, particularly the details about 'healthy fats,' and how much protein in the diet. But as he says, science on nutrition is weak, and there is still a lot of work to do.
