Beginning the Banting Diet
Make the decision to return to your best adult weight.
Prepare yourself with as much new knowledge as you can absorb. While you are doing that, it might take six months, begin with the Take Out Diet. Read the four sections of this web site, or read Hugh Butlers book, or do the Real Meal Revolution Banting course. Join one of our forums. Better still do all of that.
Begin the Take Out Diet by cutting out all the sugar in your diet. Sugar in drinks must be eliminated.
The next target is the cereals, bread, biscuits and cake in your life. Eliminate them.
Changing what you eat for breakfast is a critical part of the task.
It took me about a month to get used to this much change and to feel comfortable about it.
Get your health diary working, record how you are, and what's happening to you weight.
Try again to read as much as you can about the Banting Diet process. Buy some books if you like.
Your weight should be coming down by now. Remove the potatoes, rice and pasta from your diet.
Obesity is associated with:
Increased cancers.
Joint problems, hips and knees, particularly.
Kidney disease.
Negative effects in brain function.
Increased gall bladder disease.
A very high increase in type 2 diabetes risk.
