Better Personal Health is Possible

Your good health depends on your own knowledge.

This page is Preparation for Future Success

We all have malformed health knowledge because health propaganda is everywhere. There's nothing new about fake news. local-navigationUnfortunately everyone wants ONE PAGE to read for instant results. In two words; "begin Banting."

To be normal in our society, (Normal = Like most other people.) is to loose your physical fitness early in your life, and to become progressively less capable and heavier, and metabolically sick, so that you die at least 10 years too soon. Your last 15 or 20 years are likely to be difficult and perhaps painful.

Almost every one reading the last two sentences thinks; "But not me. I'm already healthy, my own lifestyle choices have been good."

Yes, our first reaction is to claim that "My own choices are helping me to be as healthy as most of the people I know." Unless we are actually sick or in pain, surely that is good health?

Unfortunately, to be like most people is to be unhealthy. That's to be avoided. Being average is to reduce your years of good health, and enjoyable life. Yet: just to get your weight under control, and to increase your muscular strength is very achievable, since the bar is set so low. The reward, will be better health, less pain, and a longer active and enjoyable life. Diet feeds the root of the Metabolic Syndrome tree.

We are all trapped, unless we can find a different solution. Dr David Unwin, practiced the best medicine he knew, for 26 years. What he "knew," was what he had been taught, the NICE Protocols that UK GP's are required to follow. Yet the outcome he was looking for, healthy patients, was missing. During this time there was an eight fold increase in the number of people with Type II Diabetes. In the video below, Dr Unwin, found out how to be a better doctor, because he listened to one of his patients. She was the patient who wasn't taking her medication.

Not only did she reverse her own Type II Diabetes, but she also helped her husband to do the same. So what did she do, and how did she discover that?

Dr David Unwin talks to Dr Bret Scher at DietDoctor.com
Dr. Unwin was on the verge of retiring as a general practice physician in the UK. Then he found the power of low-carb nutrition and helped hundreds of patients in ways he never thought possible! As a result, he won the prestigious NHS Innovator of the Year award and was named one of the top ten most influential GP's in the UK.

What you choose to eat goes to the heart of who you are and everything you believe. Most people find it impossible to believe that the "healthy diet" they have tried to eat for 30 years might be causing the ill health they now have.   "Eat everything in moderation," is a recipe for disaster.   The "balanced diet" recommended by the Dietary Guidelines, doesn't work either.  Sadly, too often the "healthy diet" you've been eating is problematic.

There are TEN essays about health in the introductory section of this website. We know you want to get started NOW, but it's taken many years to get to where you are now, and if any REAL CHANGE is to begin now, you need to commit to learning many new things, and you can't do that in an hour or even a week. So do some reading and start experimenting, and gently learn what's ahead.

There are many Apps that you can find that are intended to help you. We know you'll be tempted to try those as a shortcut to weight loss or better health. The Apps work better when your KNOWLEDGE is better. Maybe in six months time. But if you are determined to try one now choose one of these.

There is no medical cure for "diseases" caused by the diet you eat. Fix your diet first.
After that, there is no substitute for quality sleep, exercise and social activity with friends.
